Botanical Prints inspired by Australian flora.

From garden to print - crafted slowly and thoughtfully

About

Hi, I’m Jess. I live in the Scenic Rim, Queensland, where I spend my time growing and learning about Australian native plants. Wagtail Botanical started as a way to slow down, step away from the desk, and make something with my hands.

Australian native plants are at the centre of my work. They belong to this landscape, supporting local insects, birds, and ecosystems, yet they’re often overlooked in favour of introduced species. Through printmaking, I want to celebrate Australian native plants by highlighting their iconic detail and structure.

Every print begins with a plant grown in my garden or foraged in or near the Scenic Rim. I work directly with each plant through a hands-on monoprinting process, so no two prints are exactly the same.

Sustainability is important to me. I use recycled paper for my reproduction prints, including greeting cards, botanical posters and pocket notebooks. I use locally sourced plant material and keep the process as local and low-impact as possible.

Wagtail Botanical is a reflection of the landscapes I love and an invitation to notice, value and protect the plants that belong here.
